'Thy Kingdom Come'

Thy Kingdom Come

This prayer initiative from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York begins on Ascension Day 25 May 2017, and continues until Pentecost on 4 June 2017. In each of our churches we will have a ‘Prayer Wall’ consisting of a fishing net, onto which personal prayers may be added.  This will provide an opportunity to pray for five friends (or people who are in particular need of prayer) by writing a short prayer on a card and hanging it on the prayer wall.  The prayer should not name who you are praying for, but ask God for his grace for those people, which you keep a record of and pray for them each day.

In addition, each day there will be a 30-minute prayer session at 12 noon in one of the four churches in the plurality, as follows:

Friday 26 May Binstead Holy Cross

Saturday 27 May Wootton St Edmund

Monday 29 May Havenstreet St Peter

Tuesday 30 May Wootton St Mark

Wednesday 31 May Binstead Holy Cross

Thursday 1 June Wootton St Edmund

Friday 2 June Havenstreet St Peter

Saturday 3 June Wootton St Mark

Each session will reflect on a short passage of scripture and a picture, followed by prayers.
